Last week, the founders of Manara Global hit the global trail and visited the UK for a series of client, partner and journalist meetings that spanned the Government, corporate, NGO and media sectors.
It was a visit which included meeting many of the fascinating people we have worked with over the years and also new and exciting people from political advisers, senior government officials, a peer of the realm, entrepreneurs, CEOs, global heads of reputation and communications, media luminaries and many others.
One of the highlights was to attend the UK Prime Minister’s Office at 10 Downing Street for a meeting with the Prime Minister’s Office and to also attend the reception for the UK Government’s GREAT campaign Ambassadors which included a range of famous faces from the world of sport, business, fashion, design and music in which the Secretary of State for International Trade, Rt Hon Liam Fox, addressed the room. It also enabled our founders, especially for Teri who was very pleased to make her first visit, to have a picture at one of the most famous doors in the world (and made for a very proud Teri’s mum back in New Zealand). It was a welcome return back for Robin who spent six years walking through that door every day when he worked there advising two Prime Ministers on communications strategy.
In further Government focused meetings across several Government Ministries, it provided an opportunity to discuss the middle east region including the UK’s participation at Expo 2020 Dubai and the importance of the region to the UK in a post-Brexit future.
In meetings with our corporate clients and prospective clients, it was wonderful to hear the level of interest and optimism in the Middle East which is rich with mutually beneficial opportunities.
The visit also provided an opportunity to sit down with a range of our partners from creative and media production houses through to top talent bookers, to hold creative planning sessions for our current clients but also to explore exciting innovations that are driving behaviours and ultimately futures.
At Manara Global, where creativity is intrinsically woven into our fabric, we love thinking creatively and coming up with creative ideas that are bold, unique, and have that wow factor running through them. We love to ‘originate’.
We strive hard to ensure that we push the boundaries of our creative thinking and offering so that our clients experience the full benefit of the best global thinking with a local understanding.
To all of our old and now new friends in the UK, we thank you. We left your shores more inspired than ever, more excited about the opportunities for a globalised world, and consumed with the passion for continuing to deliver really great work. We’re only just getting started….watch this space.
